then there's the fact that the automata isn't persistent so you'd have cars appearing and disappearing at random. the new game fixes this by actually simulating every vehicle instead of just assigning algorithms to everything that aren't very practical. the problem with simcity 4 is that sims would always take the shortest physical route rather than the most effective route.
